5 June 2026
10:00am until 12:30pm
Worsbrough Library
18 to 100 years

Description

Kantha stitched embroidery is one of the most important textile arts in Eastern India. It can be traced back 500 years. It’s a beautifully simplistic technique that can be compared to Japanese Sashiko stitching. Both techniques have their roots in recycling and giving new life and purpose to old textiles. Come along and learn this beautiful craft and meet new friends at the same time. All materials will be provided. This event is funded by Worsbrough Ward Alliance.
