Description
Author Ronnie Steele discusses the new book he edited about the award-winning director of the 'Kes' film, Ken Loach. With a foreword by David Dai Bradley (Billy Casper), the book features contributions by a range of people who were inspired by the film, including Travis singer Fran Healey, playwright John Godber and sculptor Graham Ibbeson. Author Milly Johnson describes the book as: “An insightful, entertaining and affectionate homage to a man who is both a giant in the film industry and a humble, genuine man of the people. A terrific read.” The legendary film was based on Barnsley writer Barry Hines' novel, 'A Kestrel for a Knave'.
