Pop-up Archives @ Hoyland Library

Description

The Archives and Local Studies service is going on tour. They're holding Pop-up Archives sessions at libraries across the borough to help people with family and local history inquiries and research. There will be a range of digital resources on offer, including the Barnsley Chronicle from 1858 to 2023, as well as indexes to cemetery burials and building plans. Staff can also offer expert guidance on using the Ancestry, Find My Past and British Newspaper Archive websites. Sadly they can't bring our original archive documents with us, but you'll be able to arrange to view them in Barnsley Town Hall.
