Tayside Planetarium - Family Viewing

Join us on a journey through space and time! To celebrate British Science Week 2024, Roundhouse Barnsley is hosting two shows in a portable planetarium on Friday 15th March: A mobile planetarium brings the wonder of the night sky to your local venue! Come along and join in the adventure as we gaze at the night sky, as seen from Barnsley on a cloudless March evening, and explore the planets of our Solar System as well as talk about exciting space missions that aim to tell us more about our Universe. The first show, will be for families at 4pm-5pm. The recommended age is a 5 years old and above as the environment is unfamiliar, dark and enclosed. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Most of the audience will be sat on the floor with cushions provided. The planetarium is wheelchair accessible and we do ask that if you have any accessibility requirements that you let us know at the time of booking. Please book a place per person attending.
