Kenny Crookston and Sarah Baumann of Brass Bands England share the history and relevance of brass banding in Barnsley and nationwide. In addition to exploring the historical context of banding, they will discuss banding today, the benefits of taking part in community music-making and opportunities in the local area for everyone to get involved with brass bands. Brass Bands England is the Arts Council England-funded Sector Support Organisation for brass bands. Their HQ is proudly in Barnsley with a national team promoting, representing and supporting brass bands across the country.
