Barnsley Bright Nights: Lantern Making Workshops

Make you own colourful lantern with the help of Barnsley Museums learning team and join this year’s Barnsley Bright Nights illuminated parade on Saturday 23rd November 10:00-12:00 or 13:00-15:00 at Library@theLightbox. Barnsley Bright Nights is the town centre’s winter lights festival, with three days of illuminating activities running from Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 November. Finished lanterns will be available for collection before the parade from 5pm. The parade starts from outside Library @ the Lightbox at 18:00 and runs through the Victorian Arcade, before reaching the Town Hall for the Christmas light switch-on and firework display. The festival starts with an illuminated community parade on Thursday 28 November, 6pm and we want you to take part All materials will be provided. Suitable for ages 4+. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Younger siblings are welcome but may not be able to participate.
